They are basically using mobile devices (Pocket PCs) to deliver location-related multimedia information about the art pieces. a very similar concept called HIPS (Hyper Interaction within Physical Space) was actually developed way back in 1997. i think it was even more interesting as users' art-browsing behaviors were monitored (time spent in front of each art piece, sequential vs casual patterns etc.) and used to create a "profile" to customize in real time the information displayed on their devices. 5 years for a de-tuned version of that idea to come to life. uhm… Posted by fabio sergio | 12:17 PM | permalink ............
